Description
Who is the course for
This course is for individuals working within the area of healthcare ventilation systems design, such as mechanical design engineers, clerks of works, capital project staff, estates managers.
Existing ventilation authorised persons would also benefit from this course due to the more in-depth level of design compliance than the content covers in the VAP course. The course would also benefit companies working for the NHS and private hospitals such as project managers for main contractors and M+E contractors.
Aims and objectives
To provide a greater understanding and practical knowledge of the design requirements detailed in HTM 03-01 Part A (2021)
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Apply the requirements in HTM 03-01 for ventilation air change rates, minimum air flows and nominal / differential room pressures.
- Calculate open door values and the importance of them.
- Define plant and equipment minimum requirements.
- Identify the importance that ventilation design plays in the validation process.
- Identify the requirements of the commissioning process and how designs can be improved.
