Premises assurance model (PAM) & CQC (OT)
This course will be delivered by our trainer via Microsoft Teams. Learners will receive invitations for the Teams session ahead of the event and learning resources will be delivered to a location requested by the booker before the course start date. Learners will acquire a better understanding of the scope of the PAM and leave with the skills to better manage the PAM process, from completion of the return, to audit and review processes.
Description
This course is aimed at estates managers, operational directors, those responsible PAM assessments and audits.
Attendance and completion of this course will provide learners with a unique insight into PAM and CQC preparedness – ensuring that all will leave with an enhanced understanding of the PAM return process that takes into account: staff competence, the assessment and management of risk, the role of periodic audits as well as the review processes.

The course assessment will require learners to access our online assessment portal.
Aim
This course is designed to deliver a broad and comprehensive background to the key aspects and considerations that are required to undertake a NHS Premises Assurance Model (PAM) assessment; understand the scope of the PAM return, and the information needed to answer the questions.
Objectives
By the end of this course learners will be able to:
- Describe the structure of PAM
- Discuss the PAM questions and list the evidence required
- State the importance of staff training
- Explain the importance of asset registers and CAFM systems, compliance and certification, periodic systems and specific equipment checks
- Describe the audit and review process
