It is particularly suitable for current Competent Persons (MGPS) who require additional training in the role, responsibilities and competencies required for the role of the Authorised Person (MGPS). The course is also suitable for compliance manager who need a management overview.

This course is for those who intend to have a hands-on involvement or require greater practical skills to maintain, repair and fault find on medical gas equipment.

The course is for existing Authorised and Competent Persons (Medical Gas) who require a greater understanding and practical knowledge of medical gas alarm systems. Includes the installation commissioning and retrofitting of the new generation of digital medical gas alarm systems and covers the installation, commissioning, repair and fault finding of commonly used medical gas systems in accordance with HTM 02-01.

The course is for those with little or no prior knowledge of medical gas pipeline systems and includes a significant proportion of practical work. Theory alongside practical teaching is a fundamental part of the course, including the setting up, operation and modification of the live medical gas system at Eastwood Park.
