This course is for technicians who are involved with the installation, repair and routine maintenance of ambulance medical gas systems.

Description

Aim

The course is designed to provide the learners with the knowledge and skills required by the HSE and HTM 2022 supplement 2 piped medical gases in ambulance vehicles.

Objectives

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Identify medical gases, associated hazards and the necessary precautions
  • Identify different types of medical gases and their uses
  • Carry out safe handling of cylinders, regulators and medical gas equipment
  • Carry out the disassembly and reassembly of terminal units
  • Carry out a routine inspection of ambulance medical gas system

An attendance certificate will be issued upon completion of this course.
